Ryan Mason: 'Tottenham Hotspur not focusing on Premier League title'

Ryan Mason urges his Spurs teammates to remain grounded amid suggestions that they can win the Premier League title.

Ryan Mason has urged his Tottenham Hotspur teammates not to allow suggestions of a Premier League title bid to derail their season.

Mauricio Pochettino's side sit fifth in the table, four points behind top-of-the-standings Leicester City after only losing one league outing so far this term.

Given their rip-roaring form, it has been suggested that the Lilywhites could challenge England's elite come May, but Mason warns that it can all change so quickly.

"We can't get carried away with ourselves. We've been doing brilliantly recently but football can change quickly," he told reporters.

"We are young, we are eager to learn and we are working hard on the training pitch. The gaffer isn't going to mention winning the Premier League."

Spurs host champions Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Sunday in another acid test for their credentials.
