Younes Kaboul impressed by Eric Dier debut

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul has praised new signing Eric Dier for making an impressive debut during Saturday's win over Schalke 04.

The 20-year-old defender joined Spurs from Sporting Lisbon at the start of the month on a five-year deal.

Following yesterday's 2-1 victory against Schalke, Kaboul believes that Dier will be an asset for the team this season.

"Eric did very well," he told the club's official website. "He's a good young defender, he's strong and he's got great ability so that's good for us."

Spurs start the new Premier League campaign on Saturday with a trip to West Ham United.
