Jose Mourinho 'furious with Gareth Bale over Instagram post'

Mourinho 'furious with Bale over Instagram post'

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho was reportedly furious with Gareth Bale's Instagram post which came as the team were heading to Merseyside to face Everton in the FA Cup.

Bale was not involved in Tottenham's 5-4 defeat to Carlo Ancelotti's side, with Mourinho claiming after the match that the Wales international "was not comfortable" with a muscular issue.

The on-loan Real Madrid attacker seemingly made himself unavailable for the contest through injury but posted an image on Instagram with the message "good session today" while the team were travelling to Goodison Park.

According to The Mirror, the Tottenham manager was 'fuming' with Bale's social media activity, which appeared to suggest that the Welshman had simply not been chosen for the FA Cup fixture.

The former Southampton youngster returned to Spurs last summer, having been made surplus to requirements by Madrid.

Bale has been unable to show his best form for the London club, though, scoring just four times in 15 appearances in all competitions, while he has only played 70 minutes of Premier League football since December 20.
