Tim Sherwood eager for instant Tottenham Hotspur response

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood calls on his players to bounce back instantly from their recent defeat to Norwich City when they host Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has called on his players to bounce back instantly from their defeat to Norwich City when they face Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Europa League on Thursday.

Spurs saw their chances of Champions League qualification suffer a serious blow on the weekend as they were beaten 1-0 by the Premier League strugglers at Carrow Road.

The North-London club now has the opportunity to reach the last 16 of the Europa League as they try to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit against Dnipro at White Hart Lane.

"Good players and good teams come back when they're down and that's what we've got to do straight away," Sherwood told Tottenham's official website.

"We certainly need to have character now to play in front of our home fans after the disappointment of losing to a team around the bottom of the league.

"That happens, what can you do? You can't crawl into a corner and hide. You have to confront it and have a go."

Tottenham continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday at home to Cardiff City.
