Shrewsbury Town keeper Callum Burton joins Southport

Southport have completed the signing of goalkeeper Callum Burton on a month-long loan from League Two side Shrewsbury Town.

The 18-year-old has featured in the Conference, having played for Nuneaton Town over the Christmas period.

A deal was completed in time for the teenager to start for the Sandgrounders in their local derby with Chester at Haig Avenue.

Burton has represented England at various youth levels and recently took part in a national goalkeeper training camp.
