Southport have announced that manager Paul Carden has left the club by mutual consent.
The 36-year-old took charge at Haig Avenue in January 2015 and under his guidance Port secured their National League status.
However, Carden has now parted company with Port, who have won just three of their 19 league matches this term.
"The Southport FC Board would like to thank Paul for all his professionalism, efforts and dedication to the job and wish him well in his future football career," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Results this season just have not been achieved despite Paul working very hard, putting together a talented squad of players."
Port are currently 22nd in the table, five points better off than bottom-placed Halifax Town.
