Southend United sign Tamika Mkandawire on loan

Southend United have confirmed the loan signing of Millwall midfielder Tamika Mkandawire.

The 29-year-old, who has just returned to fitness following a year on the sidelines with a knee injury, will join the Shrimpers until January 8.

Mkandawire is not eligible to play in Saturday's FA Cup first-round tie at home to Stockport County.

However, he could make his first appearance for the club when they travel to Bristol Rovers in League Two three days later.
