Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is reportedly considering a bid for Celtic's Gary Hooper.
The 23-year-old played under Adkins at Scunthorpe before his move to the SPL in 2010.
An initial bid for the striker has been rejected, leading Adkins to consider an offer of up to £6m, according to The Mirror.
Hooper has scored over 30 goals for Celtic since his £2.4m switch.
