Report: Southampton line up move for Manchester United youngster

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has set his sights on making a loan move for Manchester United youngster Demetri Mitchell, according to a report.

The 17-year-old has impressed for United's youngsters in the Milk Cup competition as he scored four goals against Gold Coast Academy, and played a pivotal role in helping his side win the tournament.

The Saints are desperate to add quality to their squad following several high-profile departures, and Koeman wants to bring in Mitchell for the season to provide competition for places, according to The Mirror.

Mitchell has been capped by England at Under-17 level.
