Report: Barcelona consider Cedric Soares swoop

Southampton defender Cedric Soares has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Barcelona.

Sergi Roberto currently occupies the right-back spot for the Spanish champions, but Aleix Vidal is expected to leave in January, while Dani Alves, who joined Juventus in the summer, has still not been directly replaced.

Valencia's Joao Cancelo has been strongly linked with a move to Camp Nou, but according to AS, Barcelona are also considering Saints defender Cedric as a viable option.

The 25-year-old, who is a 16-time Portugal international, joined Southampton from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2015.
