Report: Ajax to pounce for Dusan Tadic if Southampton go down

Ajax will reportedly make a move for Serbian midfielder Dusan Tadic if Southampton suffer relegation from the Premier League next weekend.

The Saints are in a perilous position with two games of their campaign left to play, finding themselves outside of the dropzone on goal difference alone.

A number of players are expected to be snapped up if Southampton are playing Championship football next term, including in-demand defender Ryan Bertrand, and Tadic could be another of those who moves on.

Dutch outlet De Telegraaf claims that Ajax are admirers of the 29-year-old, who has previously spent four years in the Eredivisie with Groningen and FC Twente.

Ajax are said to be looking for a new creative midfielder as Hakim Ziyech is on the radar of numerous heavyweight clubs.
