Celtic reject Southampton's Kris Commons enquiry

Scottish Premier League side Celtic have rejected an enquiry from Southampton regarding the availability of winger Kris Commons.

Saints manager Nigel Adkins is believed to have been searching for a wide midfielder all month.

It now appears that he has identified Commons as the ideal candidate, although Celtic are keen to keep hold of the 28-year-old.

Commons has made only seven starts this season because of a succession of injuries.
