Half-Time Report: Crewe, Scunthorpe all square at Gresty Road

Crewe Alexandra and Scunthorpe United are deadlocked in their League One clash at Gresty Road.

Crewe keeper Paul Rachubka was called into action early on, saving efforts from both Liam O'Neil and Paddy Madden as the visitors pushed for the opening goal.

O'Neil came close once more midway through the half, but his header sailed narrowly over the bar following Conor Townsend's cross.

Gary McSheffrey almost caught Rachubka off guard but his 40-yard free kick just cleared the bar.

Madden came close to giving Scunthorpe the lead, but the ball just evaded him after O'Neil's low cross.
