Paris Saint-Germain call 4pm David Beckham press conference?

Paris Saint-Germain have called a press conference for this afternoon following reports that they are on the verge of signing David Beckham.

The former England captain, who has been considering his options after leaving MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy in December, is believed to be travelling to Paris shortly to complete a medical ahead of a free transfer.

The Ligue 1 side have confirmed on their official website that they will be holding a press conference at 4pm UK time at the Parc des Princes Auditorium with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo.

The 37-year-old has experience playing in Europe following his stints at Real Madrid and AC Milan.
