Nottingham Forest fight back to draw with Middlesbrough

Nottingham Forest secure a 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough after going 2-0 down.

Nottingham Forest fought back from 2-0 down to secure a point in their home match against Middlesbrough tonight.

Forest did the early running and could have taken the lead but Henri Lansbury struck his shot over the bar after Radoslaw Majewski's effort was blocked.

Boro's first chance came when Albert Adomah turned and drilled the ball just wide of the post.

However, the away side were soon ahead as Kei Kamara slotted the ball into the net after Adomah had set him up.

Lansbury again missed the target but Forest were awarded a penalty 10 minutes before half time when Majewski was fouled by Rhys Williams. Andy Reid stepped up but his spot kick was saved by Jason Steele.

Boro began the second half on the front foot and Adomah was again involved as his low shot was saved by Karl Darlow. However, it was soon 2-0 through George Friend's left-footed shot.

Billy Davies made a double change with Matt Derbyshire and Darius Henderson coming on for Majewski and Simon Cox, and it was Derbyshire who made an immediate impact with a stooping header to reduce the deficit.

Forest's other sub, Henderson, then had a great chance to equalise but after rounding Steele, he went to ground and was booked for diving.

Nevertheless, the striker made amends 10 minutes later, heading into the net to draw his team level.

Boro sub Emmanuel Ledesma was sent off in stoppage time for a foul on Lansbury, but Forest couldn't take advantage.
