Preview: Nottingham Forest vs. Sheffield Wednesday

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship meeting between Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.

If reports in the past week are to be believed, Stuart Pearce could be running out of time to turn things around at Nottingham Forest.

Another disappointing result in the Championship could see Pearce leave the club where he became such a hero as a player, and the decision would hardly come as a surprise following a run of just two wins in 19 games.

Despite being reluctant to comment on speculation surrounding his future following the FA Cup loss to Rochdale, Pearce will be fully aware that he needs a win when Forest host Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The two sides are separated by just three points in the Championship, with 10th-placed Wednesday looking to close the gap on the sides in the playoff spots this weekend.

An admirable display in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup means that Stuart Gray's side head into the game in good spirit, and they have won four of their previous six league games.

Both sides entered the market this week to do business with Chelsea, with Lewis Baker moving to Wednesday on loan and Todd Kane joining Forest until the end of the season.

The duo are likely to be included in the matchday squads, and there could be more changes for Pearce as he reacts to another disappointing performance.
