Yuri Krasnozhan appointed Anzhi Makhachkala coach

Anzhi Makhachkala have appointed Yuri Krasnozhan as the club's new coach.

The Russian side have been seeking a new manager since sacking Gadzhi Gadzhiyev in September.

Krasnozhan, who left Lokomotiv Moscow in June, has taken over from Brazilian full-back Roberto Carlos following a caretaker stint in charge of the club.

Anzhi finished eighth in the first part of the Russian Premier League, meaning that they have qualified for the Championship group.
