Report: Robin van Persie leaves Netherlands training with thigh injury

Netherlands striker Robin van Persie reportedly leaves training with heavy strapping on his left thigh.

Robin van Persie has reportedly suffered an injury scare ahead of the Netherlands' World Cup quarter-final after leaving training with his thigh strapped.

The Manchester United striker took part in today's hour-long session in preparation for their last-eight clash with Costa Rica on Saturday.

However, the Daily Mail reports that he left the pitch with heavy strapping around his left thigh.

Van Persie has scored three goals in the tournament so far.
