Goalkeeper Victor Valdes has posted a goodbye message to his supporters as he edges nearer to leaving Premier League giants Manchester United.
The 34-year-old joined United a year ago but has not made a single appearance for Louis van Gaal's first team and not even been given a shirt number this season.
The former Barcelona stopper is expected to join Belgian side Standard Liege on an initial six-month loan, and earlier today posted a message on Twitter above a picture of United's training ground which read: "Thank you all for your support during these months of hard work for me. I will never forget! See you soon!"
During his time with Barca, Valdes won the Champions League three times and he has also been part of Spain's World Cup and European Championship-winning squads.
