Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be eyeing up Bruno Fernandes and Giovani Lo Celso as replacements for star midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly determined to sign either Sporting Lisbon talisman Bruno Fernandes or Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso before the end of the transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have sent club officials to Portugal to sound out a move for long-term Manchester United target Fernandes, who is apparently valued at £64m by his parent club.

Meanwhile, talks are believed to be ongoing with Betis over a move for Argentine international Lo Celso, who scored 16 goals for the club last season and has an £88m release clause.

The Evening Standard report that both players are seen as potential replacements for playmaker Christian Eriksen, who is yet to sign an extension to his current deal with the North London club which only has one year left to run.

While the 27-year-old has said that he will stay with Pochettino's side if the right move does not arise, Spurs are believed to be aware that they may need to sell the Dane before the Spanish transfer window closes at the end of the month instead of losing him for free next year.
