Report: Nick Powell to leave Manchester United on loan

Nick Powell will reportedly leave Manchester United on loan before the end of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old spent the first half of this campaign on loan at Leicester City, but struggled for football at the King Power Stadium, leading to his loan spell being cut short.

Powell scored United's first goal in their 2-1 win over Liverpool's Under-21 side on Monday evening, and it is understood that he is in high demand.

According to Goal.com, United will send the former Crewe Alexandra youngster on loan this month, with Derby County and Watford believed to lead the race.

Powell has made just one appearance for United's first team this season.
