Report: Shinji Kagawa seals Borussia Dortmund return

A report in Germany says that Shinji Kagawa will soon rejoin Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United on a four-year contract.

Manchester United playmaker Shinji Kagawa has reportedly secured a return to Borussia Dortmund.

The Japan international left the Bundesliga outfit for United back in the summer of 2012 for £16m.

However, he has failed to establish himself as a regular fixture in the starting lineup at Old Trafford, with new manager Louis van Gaal rumoured to have deemed the 25-year-old surplus to requirements.

Those circumstances have alerted his former club Dortmund, who, after having had a £6m bid accepted for Kagawa, agreed personal terms with the player today, according to Bild.

The report added that Kagawa will sign a four-year contract at the Westfalenstadion.
