Former England midfielder Jamie Redknapp claims that Manchester United could find it difficult to sign creative players this summer.

Former England midfielder Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Manchester United could find it difficult to sign creative players in the upcoming summer transfer window.

United are currently second in the Premier League table, and booked their spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.

The Red Devils were knocked out by Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16, however, and head coach Jose Mourinho has continually faced criticism for his style of football at Old Trafford.

Redknapp has said that attacking players might be put off by Mourinho due to his brand of football.

"Some might say it's the biggest club in the world, but if you're looking at going to play for Manchester United and you're a flair player - do you really want to go there at the moment with the way that they play?" Redknapp told Sky Bet.

"You won't be looking at it saying 'that's a team I want to play for'- there's just no enjoyment in their play. It doesn't sit well with the fans and that's why I think they'll miss out on some good players."

United will return to Premier League action at home to Swansea City on March 31.
