Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is reportedly determined to stay and fight for his place at the club despite a recent lack of first-team football.

The 20-year-old has started just one game for United so far this season and will miss the next three through suspension following his red card in the 2-0 win over Burnley last time out.

However, Rashford fired another reminder of what he can do during the international break, scoring both of England's goals in their double-header with Spain and then Switzerland.

The striker's performances led to suggestions that he needs to be playing more regular first-team football in his favoured position, which is thought to be either through the middle or as a number 10.

However, United boss Jose Mourinho frequently deploys him as a wide man, leading to speculation that the youngster has grown frustrated with his role at the club.

The Mirror reports that Rashford is determined to prove himself at Old Trafford, though, and has no plans to leave the club despite his contract now having less than two years to run on it.

United are next in action away to Watford on Saturday.
