Interim boss Ralf Rangnick reportedly tells Brandon Williams, currently on loan at Norwich City, that he has a future at Manchester United.

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has reportedly told Brandon Williams that he has a future at Old Trafford.

Having struggled for game time during 2020-21, the defender was loaned out to Norwich City, where he has made 18 appearances in the Premier League this season.

With Luke Shaw and Alex Telles currently ahead of him in the pecking order, the 21-year-old may be in limbo once he returns to his parent club.

However, according to The Sun, the left-sided player has already been informed that he will get a chance to stake his claim for a place in the first-team squad.

The outlet cites a source as saying: "Brandon couldn't play when United took on Norwich in December because of the loan deal agreement. He watched the game and was saying hello to some of the United players he is mates with when Rangnick made a beeline for him.

"He said he was aware of him, that he rated him and that he definitely wanted him back at United when the loan deal ends."

Although Rangnick is allegedly unlikely to remain in charge of United next season, the German is expected to take on a role behind the scenes overseeing United's transfer activity.
