Ivan Rakitic wants Sevilla stay

Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic reiterates his desire to remain with Sevilla.

Ivan Rakitic has insisted that he wants to sign a new long-term contract with Sevilla.

The Croatian midfielder is widely regarded as one of the best players in European football, with his performances this season drawing a host of interest from across Europe.

Both Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked with his services, but the 25-year-old has claimed that "there's nothing else to think about" apart from playing for Sevilla.

"I want to play for Sevilla, in the future, today, tomorrow and always. For me, that's the most important. I'm really grateful for what I have. I'm more than happy at Sevilla and there's nothing else to think about," he told reporters at a press conference.

Rakitic's current deal expires in 18 months.
