Mauricio Pochettino: 'Hugo Lloris not leaving for Manchester United'

Mauricio Pochettino insists that Hugo Lloris is not for sale and will not be joining Manchester United before the transfer window closes.

Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will not be leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United this summer.

The Red Devils are preparing to bring in a replacement for David de Gea, if the Spaniard decides to leave this transfer window.

However, the Argentine boss has revealed that star player Lloris will not be going anywhere and will play his games at White Hart Lane this season.

"There are a lot of rumours [but] Hugo is very happy to be here," Pochettino told Sky Sports News.

"His commitment with the club is high. I think we need to be happy because if Manchester United want Lloris, it's because he's a great goalkeeper.

"We have a very good goalkeeper, but Hugo has a contract here and he is happy here and he wants to get success here."

United shot-stopper De Gea has been linked with a move back to Spain, as Real Madrid look for Iker Casillas's replacement.
