Ayoze Perez: 'Both Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United want me'

Newcastle United attacker Ayoze Perez says that both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United want to sign him in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United attacker Ayoze Perez has claimed that "there is truth" in the rumours linking both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United with a move for his services.

Perez joined Newcastle from Tenerife in the summer of 2014 and is believed to have turned down interest from Real Madrid to make the move to St James' Park.

Both Spurs and Man United have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old in recent weeks and according to the player himself, the reports are not false.

"There is truth in the talk about interest in me. It's rewarding for me," he told Radio Club Tenerife. "There is much truth in the interest from Tottenham and Man United, but my place is at Newcastle."

Perez, who came through the youth system at Tenerife, has scored 11 Premier League goals for Newcastle since moving to England.
