Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
The 21-year-old has not played a single minute of football for his Italian club this season due to a serious knee injury, and he is unlikely to return before the end of the campaign.
Zaniolo has scored 14 times and registered six assists in 69 appearances for Roma, though, and has been linked with a move to Man United over the last 12 months or so.
According to La Repubblica, there is still interest from the 20-time English champions, who have previously explored the possibility of an exchange involving Donny van de Beek.
The report claims that Roma are determined to keep hold of Zaniolo, while a move for Van de Beek to Italy could prove difficult due to the Dutchman's substantial wages at Old Trafford.
The Italy international has a contract with his Serie A club until June 2024.
