With just one month remaining in the summer transfer window, Manchester United have reportedly set price tags for four players who are no longer part of their plans.
The Red Devils will kick off their 2025-26 Premier League campaign with a high-profile clash against Arsenal on 17 August, a match that could set the tone for their season under Ruben Amorim. But before turning their attention fully to on-pitch matters, the club are looking to make progress on the transfer front.
While United are still hoping to bring in a new striker – and potentially a goalkeeper to challenge Andre Onana – they are also keen to offload several out-of-favour players. Jadon Sancho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Alejandro Garnacho are all considered surplus to requirements, and the club are now actively seeking buyers.
United struggling to offload unwanted quartet
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester United are targeting a combined total of around €110m (£93m) from the sale of the quartet. The breakdown of their valuation is as follows: €40.5m (£34.2m) for Antony, €35m (£29.5m) for Garnacho, €23m (£19.4m) for Sancho, and €11.5m (£9.7m) for Malacia.
Sancho has been in talks with Juventus for some time, but negotiations appear to have stalled. Antony has attracted interest from Real Betis, although both his transfer fee and wages may prove prohibitive. Garnacho has reportedly been approached by Chelsea, while Malacia currently has few suitors.
United now face a tough task to shift their fringe players. The club are said to have accepted that securing top prices for the unwanted quartet will be difficult, and the new focus is on reducing the wage bill and retaining only those committed to the long-term project at Old Trafford.
