Manchester United are allegedly contemplating a bid for Reading forward Danny Loader during the January transfer window.

Manchester United have reportedly identified Reading forward Danny Loader as a potential January signing.

During the closing days of the summer transfer window, Wolverhampton Wanderers were on the brink of completing a deal for the youngster, only for Reading to change their stance regarding the player's future.

However, the 20-year-old remains with less than a year left on his contract, leaving open the possibility of an exit from the Madejski Stadium in 2020.

According to Sky Sports News, United are considering whether to take advantage of being able to sign the Englishman for a cut-price fee.

While the report does not state whether Loader would be allowed to end the campaign with the Royals, he is unlikely to make an immediate impression in the United first team.

Loader has been provided with just 101 minutes in the Championship this season.
