Italian champions Juventus reportedly emerge as favourites ahead of Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Juventus have reportedly emerged as favourites to sign in-demand Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

The 22-year-old's performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season have attracted the attention of a number of Europe's biggest clubs, with particular interest from the Premier League.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all understood to be tracking Ndombele's progress with a view to making an offer when the transfer window reopens.

However, Calciomercato reports that Italian champions Juventus are currently leading the race for his signature, with sporting director Fabio Paratici thought to be leading the charge to land the Frenchman.

Lyon are expected to demand between €75m (£63.9m) and €80m (£68.1m) before they consider selling Ndombele - a price tag which is currently a sticking point for all four teams in the running.

The midfielder's destination could also be influenced by how each club fares in the Champions League this season, with all of his potential suitors having reached the quarter-finals of the competition.

Ndombele is expected to demand a five-year contract with significantly improved terms wherever he goes, but Juventus are currently thought to be in the driving seat.
