Rumoured Manchester United and Real Madrid target Erling Braut Haaland hints that he will stay at Borussia Dortmund rather than moving on before he is ready.

Rumoured Manchester United and Real Madrid target Erling Braut Haaland has revealed that his next move will be about timing, suggesting that he is not ready to leave Borussia Dortmund any time soon.

Haaland only joined Dortmund in January following a goal-laden first half of the season with Red Bull Salzburg, but he has already been tipped to join some of Europe's biggest clubs, having continued his prolific streak at the Westfalenstadion.

United and Madrid are understood to have put him among their top targets when the transfer window reopens, but the 19-year-old has insisted that he will not get ahead of himself or carried away with his own progression.

"You've got to time how good you are, how good the club is, the people there, how they take care of you, how they help you evolve," Haaland told Eurosport.

"There is a lot of factors and I remember when we discussed Salzburg and different clubs we figured out very early that Salzburg was the best option. And I've always thought 'I can't overrate myself'. That has always been important to me.

"Saying 'yes, I'm good, but there's a lot of good players out there' so that has always been very important to me, to not think that I'm better than I actually am."

Haaland has scored 40 goals in just 33 appearances across all competitions this season, including 12 in 11 games already for Dortmund.
