Manchester City and Manchester United are said to be in direct competition for the signature of 13-year-old Foday Nabay.
The Sierra Leone-born midfielder, who has represented England at under-16 level, recently severed his ties with Birmingham City.
Both Manchester clubs reportedly met with Nabay's advisors earlier this week.
According to the Daily Mail, City are willing to offer the teenager the most attractive package in British football history for someone of his age.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Nabay.
