Man United injury, suspension news vs. Nottingham Forest: Luke Shaw update and a double boost for the Red Devils

Shaw update and a double boost: Man United injury, suspension news vs. Forest

Manchester United will be bidding to bounce back from their first defeat of the Ruben Amorim era when they welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford in Saturday's late start.

The Red Devils suffered a 2-0 loss to Arsenal on Wednesday night, and they have now dropped down to 11th spot in the Premier League table, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

Man United have been victorious in each of their last four games in front of their own supporters, though, and Amorim will be demanding a response from his players following the setback in North London.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Forest, who will enter the contest off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Jonny Evans

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Out

Evans was again not in the squad against Arsenal on Wednesday night due to an unspecified issue, and the experienced centre-back is yet to return to training, so he will also sit this one out.

Toby Collyer

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Collyer has not been in a matchday squad for Man United since the middle of September due to a muscular problem, and the 20-year-old midfielder remains on the sidelines for the 20-time English champions.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw has only just worked his way back from a calf issue, but the England international has now picked up a hamstring problem and is set to be sidelined for several weeks; the defender has opened up on his devastation at his ongoing injury issues, but Amorim has promised to continue backing the former Southampton youngster.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Lindelof picked up a groin problem while representing Sweden during the November international break, and the centre-back is currently unavailable for selection, but he has returned to group training.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players suspended for the Premier League clash, and Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez will be available again after serving bans in the clash with Arsenal on Wednesday night.
