Police have released a man on bail after he was arrested for making an alleged racist gesture during the FA Cup fourth-round clash between Liverpool and Manchester United.
The 58-year-old man from North Wales was arrested following the Reds' 2-1 win over United on Saturday.
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "A 58-year-old man from North Wales who was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence yesterday following the Liverpool and Manchester United match has been released on police bail pending further inquiries."
Camera footage of the incident was posted on social networking websites, causing individuals to alert the authorities.
