Manchester United to pin down Danny Welbeck with lucrative contract

Welbeck to be offered big-money deal

Manchester United are reportedly eager to cement the long-term future of Danny Welbeck by offering him a new five-year contract.

The deal is expected to treble the England international's wages to £50,000 a week, according to the Daily Mail.

While the 22-year-old is believed to be keen on remaining at Old Trafford, the striker is in no rush to put pen to paper.

Welbeck, who has 18 months left on his current deal, has forced his way into the Red Devils' regular first team with five goals in five games.
