Wayne Rooney: 'We must keep winning'

Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney admits that his side cannot afford too many slip-ups in the race to finish in the top four this season.

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has insisted that his side must keep winning matches if they are to finish in the top four this season.

As it stands, United occupy fourth in the Premier League, but they are just two points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool with 11 games of the season remaining.

"We just have to keep trying to win games and do our jobs. It is tight - there are four or five teams who can all go on a run and take the spots. We have to make sure that we are one of them, keep trying to win our games and stay in a good position," Rooney told MUTV.

United's home form in the league this season has been strong – winning 11 of their 14 matches - but they have won just three from 13 on their travels.
