Marcus Rashford: 'I want to improve scoring record'

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford says that he wants to improve his scoring record for the club after an excellent start to his Old Trafford career.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has admitted that he is keen to further improve his excellent scoring record at Old Trafford.

Since making his first-team bow in February, Rashford has netted 11 times in 20 starts and four substitute appearances, but the teenager has suggested that he has no intention of settling for a goal every two games.

The 18-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I want to score more goals, the main ambition is goals. A few years ago my aim was to score as many goals as I could to show people my talents and what I could do.

"But now things have changed. There's some games where your touch might be off but that doesn't mean that you can't score goals and win the game for your team.

"As a team we have a good squad and we can compete for the titles this season. On a personal level, scoring a lot of goals is the main objective."

Rashford is expected to feature in the starting lineup when United host Leicester City on Saturday.
