Nani "happy" to have Moyes's backing

Manchester United winger Nani has expressed his delight in manager David Moyes proving that the Portugal international is part of the club's future by offering him a new contract.

The Premier League champions announced news of Nani's new deal today following a summer filled with speculation that the winger could be offloaded by the North-West outfit.

"Training every day with top players who want to win trophies every year is a great motivation to me," Nani told the club's official website. "I'm very happy that the new manager has shown this faith in me and I'm looking forward to helping the team compete for more honours this season."

Nani, who became a United player in 2007, drifted in and out of the starting lineup last season, but before the new campaign, vowed to win back a top spot under Moyes.
