David Moyes says that Manchester United do not need any summer signings to retain their Premier League title.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has no doubts that his side can retain their Premier League title without making any new signings this summer.

So far United have yet to bring in any new additions to the squad, while the unsettled Wayne Rooney is expected to leave Old Trafford to add to Paul Scholes's departure.

"The squad Manchester United has, without any additions, will be tough opponents for any team this year," Moyes told reporters.

"That is the squad that finished 11 points clear in the Premier League. I am confident in that squad."

United face Kitchee in a pre-season friendly at 1pm on Monday.
