Phil Jones "wary" of "tricky" Newcastle United clash

Phil Jones believes that Manchester United will face a tough challenge away at Newcastle United tomorrow night.

Manchester United defender Phil Jones has admitted that his side will be in for a "tricky" encounter when they take on Newcastle United at St James' Park tomorrow night.

The Magpies had gone eight games in all competitions without a win prior to their 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at the weekend.

However, they have caused some upsets this season, beating the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as Manchester City in the League Cup.

With that in mind, Jones has conceded that the Red Devils will need to be on their guard against their unpredictable hosts.

"It's a very difficult place to go, especially for a night game. It's a big crowd, big stadium, big pitch," the centre-back told MUTV.

"It's always tricky up there as you don't know what to expect at times. Perhaps the unexpected is in their favour so we have to be wary of them and go into the game positively."

United have won on their last two visits to Tyneside.
