Glazers to sell off part of Man Utd

The Glazer family are to sell off a stake in Manchester United.

The Americans, who took over the Old Trafford club in 2005, have informed the Singapore Stock Exchange that shares will be put up for sale, known as a flotation.

The selling off of 25-30% of shares would also ensure that no one person could take over the club.

It is thought the Glazers hope to raise funds to wipe off a majority United's £500m debt as well as expanding their presence in Asia.
