Ferguson: 'Solskjaer had fantastic patience'

Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his "fantastic patience".

Solskjaer, who now manages Molde, scored 126 goals during 12 seasons with the Premier League outfit, but he was more known for his 'super-sub' tag than as an established starter.

"It was obvious that his desire was to be a coach... but more than that it was a desire to be the best you can be," wrote Ferguson in his new book, My Autobiography.

"I'm very lucky that he never complained, I don't think any other player of that quality would have stood for it.

"Teddy [Sheringham] always moaning at me, and I can understand because he was a great player... but Ole never complained. He had that fantastic patience."

Solskjaer also scored 23 goals in 67 games for Norway.
