Patrice Evra says that it will be a "revolution" if Manchester City win the Premier League title this season.

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has warned his teammates that they must stop Manchester City dominating English football.

The Frenchman has echoed Roberto Mancini's belief that the Citizens have the ability to win many more titles should they clinch this year's crown.

Evra said that it will be a "revolution" if their local rivals secure their second trophy in two seasons.

"Beware. If City start winning it will be hard to stop them," warned Evra. "We have to stop them before they start, because they can go far. That's how a big team starts, the first trophy they win.

"They won the FA Cup last year and if they win the League they'll get too much confidence. If they win the Premier League, a page is turned and it's a revolution, and revolutions have always been about Manchester United."

Evra has won four Premier League titles during his time at Old Trafford.
