Man United injury, suspension news vs. Ipswich Town: Will Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw be available?

Yoro debut? Shaw, Mainoo to return? Man United injury news vs. Ipswich

Ruben Amorim's first taste of Premier League football will come on Sunday afternoon, when he leads his Manchester United team against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

The 39-year-old has taken over a side that are currently 13th in the Premier League table, but the Red Devils are only four points off third-placed Chelsea heading into the weekend's action.

Man United recorded a 3-0 victory over Leicester City in the league before the November international break, and they were unbeaten in their four games under the leadership of Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Ipswich, who moved into 17th spot in the division with a 2-1 success over Tottenham Hotspur last time out.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Back Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Ipswich)

Martinez was forced to pull out of the Argentina squad during the November international break due to an issue related to his hip and back, and the centre-back will need to be assessed before it is determined whether he will be fit against Ipswich.

Leny Yoro

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Ipswich)

Yoro returned to training with Man United ahead of the Europa League clash with PAOK, and the centre-back, who fractured his metatarsal during pre-season, is now closing in on his competitive debut for the Red Devils.

There has been talk of the Frenchman being available for the trip to Ipswich, and Amorim now faces a big decision when it comes to the involvement of the centre-back this weekend.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Ipswich)

Malacia missed the entire 2023-24 season due to a serious knee injury which required two separate operations, but the left-back played 45 minutes for the Under-21s last week, and the Netherlands international is now in line to be included in a senior squad for the first time in almost 18 months.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Ipswich)

Shaw has been absent this season due to a calf problem, but the left-back has recently been back in full training alongside his teammates, and he could be in the squad against Ipswich.

Kobbie Mainoo

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Ipswich)

Mainoo has not featured for Man United since the start of October due to a muscular problem, but he has been training this week, and the midfielder has a strong chance of being in the squad against Ipswich.

Toby Collyer

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Collyer has not been in a matchday squad for Man United since the middle of September due to a muscular problem, and the 20-year-old midfielder remains on the sidelines for the 20-time English champions.

Harry Maguire

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Maguire remains on the treatment table with a muscular problem, and it is unclear at this stage of proceedings when the centre-back could be available for Amorim.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Lindelof picked up a groin problem while representing Sweden during the November international break, and the centre-back is expected to spend the next few weeks on the sidelines.
