Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Man United injury, suspension list vs. Watford

Manchester United will be looking to make it back-to-back Premier League wins when they welcome Watford to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea on Monday night to move to within three points of the fourth-placed Blues in the table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have been in action since then, though, drawing 1-1 with Club Brugge in the first leg of their last-32 Europa League tie on Thursday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Nigel Pearson's side, who are 19th in the table.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Paul Pogba underwent ankle surgery last month but is believed to be entering the latter stages of his recovery. A timeframe for a potential return has not yet been set by Solskjaer, though, and there are doubts whether the midfielder will play for the club again due to the speculation surrounding his future.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Out Type of injury: Back Possible return date: Unknown

Marcus Rashford faces a battle to play again this season having suffered a stress fracture to his back against Wolves on January 15. The England international had been in fine form for the Red Devils, scoring 19 times in all competitions this term from a wide position.

Scott McTominay

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: February 23 (vs. Watford)

Scott McTominay has been on the sidelines since picking up a knee injury against Newcastle United on Boxing Day. The Scotland international has recently returned to training, though, and Solskjaer claimed on Thursday that the midfielder could make the squad for this weekend's clash.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: February 23 (vs. Watford)

Axel Tuanzebe has been out with a hamstring problem since the middle of December but is thought to be making solid progress in his recovery and could be available for this weekend's match.

Mason Greenwood

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Illness Possible return date: February 23 (vs. Watford)

Mason Greenwood was in line to start against Brugge on Thursday night but was ultimately ruled out ahead of the match through illness. The teenager is expected to be available to face the Hornets, though.

Eric Bailly

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: February 23 (vs. Watford)

Eric Bailly made his return from a knee injury against Chelsea on Monday night before being ruled out of Thursday's European tie due to a knock. The centre-back could be available on Sunday, though.

Lee Grant

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Solskjaer revealed earlier this month that number three goalkeeper Lee Grant had undergone surgery on an unspecified injury. As a result, the 37-year-old will miss the next two to three months of the season.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no suspension concerns heading into this weekend's match.
