Van Gaal: 'No regrets selling Welbeck'

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that he does not regret selling Danny Welbeck in order to make way for the arrival of Radamel Falcao.

Welbeck scored the winning goal against his former club to send Arsenal through to the FA Cup semi-final, but Falcao has struggled to find the net since moving to Old Trafford.

"[Falcao] has scored four goals, had three or four assists and he stimulates the other players, so that is an aspect of the profession," Van Gaal told reporters.

Welbeck has scored five goals in 19 starts for the Gunners.
