Rio Ferdinand "gutted" by Liverpool defeat

Rio Ferdinand has admitted that he was "gutted" after Manchester United's 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Liverpool.

Dirk Kuyt's late strike at Anfield was enough to put the Merseysiders into the fifth round.

"Disappointing result, gutted to be honest," Ferdinand, who missed the game through injury, tweeted.

"Team kept the ball well + played some decent stuff, but just didn't manage to finish them off."

The Red Devils host Stoke City in the Premier League on Tuesday.
