Jonny Evans believes that Real Madrid will be under just as much pressure as Manchester United in tomorrow's Champions League clash.

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans believes that the Red Devils head into tomorrow night's Champions League encounter equal to Real Madrid.

The former Premier League winners could be considered as slight underdogs ahead of their trip to the Bernabeu for the first leg, but Evans is adamant that United are not inferior to the Spanish giants.

"We are Manchester United," BBC Sport quotes Evans as saying. "Teams look up to us as well. I am sure the same pressures will be on them.

"They have good players who can hurt you but we play against Premier League opposition every week and that is one of the best leagues in the world."

The return leg at Old Trafford is scheduled for March 5.
